The Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church has been in existence for over 150 years. To celebrate that milestone, they wanted to display a piece of artwork symbolic of their heritage.
We discussed the project and agreed that a strong wide spreading tree would be the perfect representation of the church. The names of the church’s founding, and long term members were to be printed on each of the tree’s 250 leaves.
We then designed a table for the area under the tree to hold a guidebook with the names and information of the church members represented on the tree.
The tree hangs on a wall in their new fellowship hall and is nine feet wide and six feet tall.
